We’ve had our eyes on Masscob for a while now. Created by two Spanish designers, who happen to be lovers, Masscob is named after its founders: Marga Massanet and Jacobo Cobian.
Just as its name represents a man and a woman, Masscob’s aesthetic is comprised of masculine and feminine details merged together to create an effortless and relaxed identity. We were really drawn to this statement from its website:
“Marga and Jacobo just follow their instinct, they don’t have a precise point of inspiration. Their designs emerge spontaneously and do not follow any predetermined process, sometimes just a substance of a fabric or a vintage detail is the beginning for a new collection.”
We absolutely love that about this brand…that no matter what, you know each collection represents the designers’ unique and sincere vision. They don’t let their creativity become stifled by a certain “brand.” Its brand is that spontaneity, that unexpected charm. And that is why we can’t get enough of Masscob.
Here are our favorite looks from the spring/summer 2011 collection…
