We absolutely love designers who can seamlessly marry fashion and sustainability. MATT & NAT is one of those designers. This Montreal based label founded by Inder Bedi creates cruelty-free vegan bags for both men and women. All linings of its bags and wallets are made of 100% recycled plastic bottles. If that isn’t enough, MATT & NAT never stops looking for ways to design with impact. In 2011 it introduced cork labeling inside all of its bags, which is one of the most environmentally friendly harvesting processes in the world.
In addition to each bag being created using the utmost sustainable practices, MATT & NAT also gives back to the community in various ways, such as donating bags to women’s shelters around Montreal. Right now, for every limited edition Ikat bag purchased, MATT & NAT will donate $21 to charity: water, a non-profit organization that brings water to people in developing nations.
